Session
Sesi
One bounded run of work with an agent, from the first message to the end.
A session is one continuous run of interaction: it starts with a first message, accumulates turns, and ends when you close it or it stops. Everything the agent knows at any moment is what the session has accumulated.
Sessions are the natural unit of cost and of attention. A long session accumulates context that competes for attention, and it keeps your history for billable tokens. A fresh session resets both.
The skill is knowing when to start a new one. Switching topics, finishing a unit of work, or noticing the agent repeating something it was told earlier are all good signals. The habit of ending a session with a written summary of what changed and what is still open is what makes the next session pick up cleanly.
